Spanish public-domain reissue. ‘Direct Metal Mastered’ describes the cutting method — groove cut into copper rather than lacquer — and says nothing about the source; no mastering engineer, studio or tape source is named anywhere in the listing. Labels of this type work from digital transfers of released CDs, not original tapes. Perfectly listenable, but a class below the Tone Poet / OJC / Analogue Productions pressings. Blue Note’s own Classic Vinyl Moanin’ is a Kevin Gray all-analog cut at about $28 — the obvious upgrade, since the album is worth owning properly.
