US original — ECM-2-1064 is the American two-record number from the Polydor-distributed period, and those were cut by Robert Ludwig at Sterling Sound. All-analog, and better than anything currently on the market. Check the dead wax for an ‘RL’ or ‘STERLING’ stamp to confirm. Avoid the 2010/2014 ECM 180g repress if ever tempted — those were cut from digital sources. Recorded 24 January 1975 in the Köln Opera House.
